Valentina believes in Jesus
Igor was following up new contacts from an outreach he and his wife Galyna held in Ukraine. He called Valentina, a Jewish woman whom Galyna had spoken to at the event.
Valentina’s friends are almost all Jewish, but now most have either emigrated or are seeking refuge from the war in different countries. She had attended a local church occasionally and was open to the gospel but was not a believer. Having met Valentina, Igor and Galyna began praying for her salvation.
During the call, Igor clearly presented the gospel message again. When he had finished, he asked what she thought of it. To his surprise and joy, Valentina replied, ‘I believe in Jesus and that he came into the world to save both Jewish and non-Jewish people.’ God had clearly been at work in Valentina’s heart.
Valentina told Igor that she prays in the morning and evening, but that she knows she is imperfect and only Jesus can help her get rid of her sin.
Igor asked whether she had ever sought Jesus’ forgiveness for her sin. She hadn’t, so Igor invited her to pray, asking God for forgiveness as she trusts in Jesus' death and resurrection. That is exactly what she did. Igor was overjoyed to hear her repent before the Lord and put her trust in Jesus for salvation. Praise God!
For your prayers...
Please pray that Valentina's faith will continue to grow as she begins her new life with Jesus and is discipled by Galyna. Please pray for Igor and Galyna as they reach out, both in Moldova and Ukraine, sharing the gospel and discipling new believers like Valentina.
