A ministry blessing
Igal met Oleg in prison in 2002. Two and a half years ago Igal met him again when he was distributing food on the streets of Tel Aviv. Oleg said he remembered Igal as a 'crazy' guy who no one wanted to meet!
Igal told Oleg how after being in prison for five years and hearing the gospel, he went to a rehabilitation centre in 2006 and met Jesus there. He further told Oleg how much difference Jesus had made in his life.
Oleg was initially closed to the gospel because he said he was Jewish and believed Jesus was only for Christians. But slowly he would come to eat and would hear the gospel and Igal would pray for him.
Two years ago, the Lord opened Oleg's heart and he asked to go to a rehabilitation home. Oleg would come to every Bible study, he prayed a prayer of repentance, he was baptised and became a disciple of Jesus.
A year ago Oleg met a female volunteer from Holland and two weeks ago Oleg went to marry her in Holland. They asked Igal to go to bless them, but because of the war he couldn't leave the country. Igal contacted our missionary, Asaf in Holland who was able to do the marriage ceremony for them! Praise God!
Igal feels blessed and thanks God for the privilege of seeing the fruit of his service to previously drug-addicted people like Oleg.
For your prayers...
Give thanks for Oleg's faith and please pray that it will be strengthened as Igal disciples him. Please pray for Igal as he continues to reach out to drug addicts on the streets of Tel Aviv with the gospel.
